I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
